Random Thoughts and Happenings

Here are a few things going on:
  1. I am so addicted to FaceBook. I love finding old friends (April, Michelle, Scott, Leslie, David). The only problem is that it makes me feel soooo old.
  2. I started my Adult Hip Hop class this past Monday. The 21 year old Falcon's cheerleader teaching the class tried to kill us. It was a blast, but I am so feeling my age. Oh, and we are dancing at recital...that should be very interesting.
  3. Sydney went to the doctor today, she has strep, got a shot, lots of drama, should be fine by morning, Yippee!
  4. It is so cold outside. 12 degrees when I left this morning to take Sydney to the doctor. I should be snowing, right?
  5. Grayson is going to explode any minute now...he will not stop eating.
  6. Tomorrow I have a crop. I can't wait. I need some time to scrapbook, I am have withdrawals.
  7. Grayson is licking everything...his hands, the couch, the door frame. Why?
  8. I have chili in the crock pot. Yum-O!

Ok, that is it for now. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Not so Wordless Wednesday

My son, Grayson, learned a very valuable lesson on Monday...

Do not walk behind a swing while someone is swinging on it, then don't stand up behind it again.

Will this poor boy make it to age 3?

Bless his heart!

Happy Birthday, Sydney!

Today is my little girl's 6th birthday. I can't believe it, where does the time go?

In honor of her birthday, I will share some pictures of her that were taken in the past month.

This picture was taken while we were in Florida for Christmas. All the girls in my family and a few friends when to have lunch at a local tea room, The Garden Gate. We all put on fun hats and had a wonderful time. Sydney and I decided to wear the flowers that came on our plates.

This one is of Sydney wearing her "fancy" hat at the "Tea Party". I love this picture because it shows off her beautiful smile and all of her missing teeth.

Last is a picture of her in her Christmas pajama's taken Christmas morning. She was so excited to see all that Santa brought.

I am so blessed to have such a precious girl in my life. God gave me a wonderful gift and I will always be thankful.

Wordless Wednesday

Wordless Wednesday: I am not going to share with Gammie!

A few weeks ago we went to my sister's house to make Christmas ornaments and cookies. After putting icing on Grayson's cookie, Gammie asked for a bite. Grayson would stretch his arm out as far away from Gammie as he could get it. He was not about to share his cookie. It was, in his words, MINE! For more details on our fun afternoon click here.

Sydney's Dance Recital

About a week ago, Sydney had her winter dance recital. She has been dancing now for 3 years and she LOVES ballet. She is so graceful and beautiful when she moves.

She loves getting all dressed up in her costume and putting on makeup. She thinks she is such hot stuff and of course, she is.

She danced to "Where are you Christmas" and did an incredible job. I am such a proud mommy.

She will be taking more ballet and a tap class starting in January. They are offering an Adult Hip Hop and Jazz class. I am going to attempt to dance again. It will be very scary for me and the people in the class I am sure, but it will be lots of fun. I will update you when I start and promise to share all the juicy details...oh, it will be o so juicy.

A New Bed for Baby Jesus

The other evening I was straightening up the living room after the children had gone to bed. As most of you know, there is no use doing it while they are awake. I was picking up a few things beside the wooden manger scene that my J-Mom painted for me one Christmas. My father cut it out of wood and she painted it up knowing that one day I would have children and that this would be the manger scene they could play with. I notice something a little different...

Do you see it? Let's take a closer look...

Yes, someone in my house has put baby Jesus in a little pink cradle. Oh, how sweet!
